The Ultimate Get Organized in 2022 Challenge!

<img decoding=

The Ultimate Get Organized in 2022 Challenge is a project I started because with two homeschooled, neurodiverse kiddos of my own, I understand how difficult it can be to keep up with all of the different challenges busy homeschooling Mommas face daily. Juggling family activities, lessons, meal planning, and everything else while trying to stay organized can get so overwhelming, right? I am extremely passionate (did I mention extremely??) about being organized and eliminating chaos.

Without organization, I find myself struggling with my own time management and staying on top of my daily responsibilities. I created this challenge for people just like you and I: busy parents who want help getting organized so we can spend more quality time with our friends and family!

I’m going to show you how to use an amazing resource called Canva to create cute planners and organizational templates for you and your family to use. I can’t wait to share it with you so you can make them, too! Who is with me?! Let’s do this! 💪🏼

What is Canva?

I completely understand…It is so hard to keep up with all the things you need to do for your family. You have a schedule that’s crazy busy and trying to make time for yourself or anything fun is close to impossible! I get it, Momma.

But, how would it feel if you could quickly and easily create beautiful planners, calendars, cute checklists, organizers, and more? Wouldn’t it be nice if these tools helped you get organized in 2022 AND made your life easier? Well, they can! 🙌🏼 Canva has hundreds of easy-to-use templates to make your own custom planner or organizer (or literally whatever you’d like to make!) And, it’s seriously SO much fun to make them!

With Canva, creating organizational tools has never been easier! It’s literally my go-to for all my family’s organizational needs, printables, lesson plans, book report templates….all the things!

Whether you’re looking for an easy way to organize daily tasks or planning out next year’s big vacation – they’ve got what you need right at your fingertips!! Simply open a template from one of the many categories on the left-hand side of the page (checklists, calendars, planners, etc.) then start editing using Canva’s simple but effective tools.

When you have completed your planner (or whatever you might be working on), you can easily save your finished product as a JPEG or PNG file or print it up to share with your family. How perfect is that?

Canva is the perfect place for busy homeschooling Mommas of neurodiverse kiddos who are looking for fun and creative ways to get organized in 2022! My son has ADHD and he loves his weekly planner, while my daughter with dyslexia needs help remembering what she wants or needs each day so daily checklists are a lifesaver for her.

Canva makes creating planners and organizational templates so fun. And the best part is that it’s super easy to do!! You can customize designs in just minutes or you can start from scratch with a blank template if that suits your needs better.

Whether it’s meal planning, keeping up with weekly chores, or getting ready for summer vacation, we all could use a little help to get organized in 2022! Let’s start this challenge!

The Ultimate Get Organized in 2022 Challenge!

STEP ONE: Create Four Templates to Get organized in 2022!

Each week for the following four weeks, create a new template in Canva!

Week One: Meal Planning | Grocery Shopping List

Create a template with space for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for a week and space for a grocery list to go along with our meal plan.

Here is an example of a Canva template for a weekly meal planner. Every template is 100% customizable!

Week Two: Weekly Chore List

I need lots of help here keeping my kiddos on track with their chores. To avoid being the dreaded Mom Nag (ew!), creating a weekly chore list helps keep them on track.

Here is an example of a Canva chore list template.

Week Three: Weekly Family Calendar

Keeping the family schedule in one place for everyone to see is so helpful! No more asking Mom a million times a day…..just go check the calendar! #Winning!

Week Four: Homeschool Lessons

Create individual lesson plans to stay organized in your homeschool. Sometimes, I get bogged down with the daily grind and if I don’t have our lessons planned out, we fall behind.

STEP TWO:

Share pictures of your Canva creations on social media with the hashtag #getorganized2022challenge and inspire others to get organized in 2022! So fun!

How To use Canva

Once you are all logged in and ready to go, to the home page and click “‘Create a Design”.

<img loading=

When the drop-down menu opens, click ‘custom size’ down at the bottom.

<img loading=
<img loading=

When the custom size box opens, enter 8.5 in the width box and 11 in the height box since that will be the size you’ll want to print.

A new screen will open and you will have the opportunity to search for a design template. For this lesson, we will use week one’s challenge and type ‘weekly meal planner’ in the search bar.

<img loading=

From there, you will see lots of different templates you can choose from. This is the super fun part! You can choose any of them, change the colors, fonts, elements, and completely make it your own! I love colorful lists so I’m going to choose this one:

<img loading=

See how the middle box is highlighted below? That means I have clicked on that specific element and can now change that one particular element to my desired color…in this case, pink.

<img loading=

Choose the font you would like as shown below.

Now you can choose new graphics, change the colors of the graphics, and change the remainder of the meal planner however you’d like. Once you click on the element tab, type in what you’d like to search for. I chose ‘fruit’.

<img loading=

Here is my finished meal planner! So cute and pink! I love it! Can’t wait to see yours. 😍

Yay! Fun, right? I’m so excited that you can now use Canva to create organizational templates like this one, so that you can also easily update your shopping list throughout the week! Plus, your other family members can also jot down their own grocery requests on this lists rather than asking you for every. little. thing.

…(or is that just my kids?)

Okay, Momma…next week, go back and do the same thing only choose ‘chores’ for your template. Or, if you’re feeling extra creative, start with an 8.5 x 11 blank page and create your own!

Congratulations, Momma!

In our goal to get organized in 2022, these templates and organizational tools are going to be a huge help for you. They have been so helpful in my family!

There is a free option to use Canva. I highly recommend Canva Pro as there are so many more awesome features, templates, photos, and graphics available in Canva Pro. If you aren’t ready to sign up for pro just yet, there is a 30-day trial.

Congratulations, Momma, for completing the challenge! What are some other ways your family is going to get organized in 2022?
